Egyptian Medical Training Platform, 5 Quarters Raises Undisclosed Seed Funding

5 Quarters, an Egyptian medical training startup, has announced an undisclosed Seed investment from a Saudi angel investor to fuel its growth in both directions: horizontal growth by expanding its practice into Saudi Arabia, and vertical growth by adding new services to medical professionals, clinics, and hospitals.

Mohamed Salah and Noha Emad founded 5 Quarters, which began as a medical and dental courses startup and has been in the medical education market for over 6 years, primarily in Egypt.

The name is derived from the four branches of healthcare: medical, dental, pharmaceutical, and physiotherapy. The fifth quadrant is what they promise; they provide extra value that you won’t find anywhere else.

Salah and his co-founder developed a solution to address the threat after realizing that healthcare graduates and professionals were suffering from three major issues: outdated content and a lack of good training in faculties, expensive traditional training, and so on. 5 Quarters, born out of necessity, addresses all of the aforementioned challenges by providing a wide range of online courses taught by the best trainers with ADA-accredited certificates, as well as practical training and offline courses.

In addition, 5 Quarters provides healthcare professionals with online courses (available on its web and mobile-based platforms) taught by the best trainers in their field using the latest technology and content with ADA-accredited certificates, as well as practical training and on-site courses to put what they have learned into practice and demonstrate their work.

5 Quarters says, since its inception that it has been driven by youth’s intense passion and a genuine sense of duty to help the medical community everywhere by providing better education at affordable prices. The platform also claimed to have served over 15,000 customers in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, and Jordan to date.
