Jordanian edtech company Abwaab has acquired Egyptian education technology startup Eduact for an undisclosed amount, adding software for independent teachers and learning centers to its platform.
The acquisition gives Abwaab access to Eduact’s tools for managing content, grading, payments, and the day-to-day operations of online and physical classes. Abwaab plans to merge the technology into its platform and expand it to more teachers and learning centers across Egypt and other MENA markets.

The deal is Abwaab’s second acquisition this year, following its purchase of Egyptian university admissions startup Apex Education in January.
For Black founders building education businesses across Africa, the deal shows the value of solving operational problems around fragmented sectors, and the potential for regional platforms to become acquisition pathways as they scale.
