Ada Animation closes Pre-seed Funding to develop African Content

Ada Labs Africa’s entertainment Tech startup Ada Animation has announced it raised an undisclosed pre-seed capital from Nigeria’s venture capital firm Platform through its technology vehicle, Unicorn Group.

Ada Animation was founded in 2020, with the aim of building capacity in Nigeria’s animation industry, tell animated African stories, and catalyze the animation industry for growth.

Speaking of the investment, Joy Mwangi, CEO of Ada Animation expressed joy over the fund stating that the investment is a part of the startup’s growth while also adding that the startup sees great opportunity in exploiting the animation space.

Ada Animation will use the secured investment to support the startup’s growth ambitions, hire great talent, create African content, and further develop its proprietary technology.
