African Startups Invited to Apply for UNICEF Seed Funding
African tech startups have been invited to apply for UNICEF Innovation Fund’s $100K equity-free investments in early-stage startups. Interested startups must have a working business plan as well as the potential to help mankind in one of UNICEF’s program countries.
The Innovation Fund’s main goal is to identify “clusters” or portfolios of programs centered on developing technology so that UNICEF can share markets while also learning about and guiding these innovations for the benefit of children.
African tech startups creating platforms for personalized services, providing tools to automate processes and decision-making, building tools to optimize system performance for greater access to and delivery of services, generating new insights from data, or generating and curating data can apply for the funding.
