AfriTECH 2.0: Outstanding Organisations, Individuals To Be Awarded

Africa Tech Alliance Forum will be holding its second award event (AfriTECH 2.0) in Lagos Nigeria where honour will be conferred on organizations and individuals that have been outstanding in tech activities in Africa.

The event with the theme: “Sustainability and The Company of the Future” is scheduled to hold on the 9th of November 2022 by 9:00 am West African Time (WAT).

some of the topics the panel will discuss include:

  • ‘Harnessing Digital Identity for Digital Economy Agenda’; ‘
  • Creating Sustainable Future through Connectivity’;
  • ‘Blockchain & Cryptocurrency – The Future of Money; and
  • ‘Cloud Computing in 5G Era – Everything-As-A-Service’.

  • Professor Umar Garba Danbatta, the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC)
  • Professor Muhammed Bello Abubakar, the Managing Director/Chief Executive of Galaxy Backbone Limited
  • Mr James Agada, former CEO of CWG PLC (chairman of AfriTECH 2.0)
  • Mr Olufemi Ake, MD, ESET West Africa; Emmanuel Amos, President, InnovationBed Africa
  • Jude Ozinegbe, Convener of Cyberchain Conference & Exhibition
  • Engineer Ikechukwu Nnamani, President, Association of Telecommunication Companies of Nigeria (ATCON), and many more notable speakers.

The AfriTECH awards are established to reward and celebrate individuals and organizations across the African continent that have exhibited excellent traits and innovations in the development of their products and services.

While giving his comment on the importance of the AfriTECH Awards this year, the Co-Founder of TechCastle Foundation, Mr Chike Onwuegbuchi, said, “The main reason to organise this award as part of activities for AfriTECH 2.0 is to show appreciation for the achievement of specific individuals and organisations whose consistencies and resilience have led to unprecedented digital transformation in Africa.”
