Bloc Aquires Orchestrate To Enable Seamless Banking
Bloc has announced its complete acquisition of Getwallet, now known as Orchestrate. The full-service FinTech company was acquired for many reasons: to provide seamless payments for its customers.
Announcing on its LinkedIn page, Bloc stated that, Orchestrate had developed a platform that can help Bloc fulfill its payment mission.
Orchestrate is a fintech startup enabled with a payment arrangement that provides businesses with various payment providers instantly, all in one setup.
Founded as Getwallets by Yewande Odumosu and Jerry Enebel in 2021, Orchestrate is to provide a combined payment platform that gives payment providers access to a more integrated structure for their customers.

Upon becoming Orchestrate, the startup became a more significant payment infrastructure. With Orchestrate, businesses could now access various payment platforms easily and instantly. Moreover, they (companies) can use multiple payment methods by various providers, all in a single setup. This is not limited to Nigeria alone but to different nations, a few of which are Eygpt, Ghana, South Africa, and the United States of America. There are also intentions to launch out to other nations.
According to the statement, “This acquisition will enable Bloc to focus its core product strategy on delivery seamless Banking as a Service (BaaS) API products to its customers while Orchestrate leads its FinTech infrastructure with its proprietary payments orchestration API.”
Bloc, which also has CBN-issued PSSP and Microfinance banking licenses, is significant in providing exclusive and concentrated API that lets businesses (fintech) offer banking and financial services to their clients while being the one to handle the majority of the compliance and regulatory requirements on the business’s behalf.
Due to the acquisition, Orchestrate by Bloc will be a separate application under the umbrella of Bloc’s suite of products. This is proposed to strengthen the company’s payment proficiency and user experience.
