Cairo Becomes Center Stage for AI Innovation as Egypt Hosts Global AI Everything Summit
Delegates gather at the AI Everything Summit in Cairo, underscoring Egypt’s growing influence in artificial intelligence and regional innovation.

Egypt has strengthened its position as a regional leader in artificial intelligence by holding the first-ever AI Everything Middle East & Africa (MEA) Summit, which attracted over 350 firms, international technology leaders, investors, and professionals from more than 30 countries. This summit was held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which underscored Egypt’s ambition to become a hub for digital transformation and innovation.

The conference, which was organized in partnership with GITEX Global and the Information Technology Industry Development Agency, included talks and showcases about the use of AI in smart cities, healthcare, education, and economic development.

Egyptian officials highlighted at the event that as part of the nation's national AI policy, it attempts to implement AI into public services and promote sustainable growth. In the words of President El-Sisi, AI is a "national asset designed to deliver immediate advantages to citizens and strengthen Egypt's role in the global digital economy."

The Managing Director for Dell Technologies South Gulf, Walid Yehia, added that “With Egypt, we are transforming the learning and development experience by bringing the latest innovations to classrooms, labs, and businesses.” Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) officials, however, emphasized that the meeting would speed up Egypt's attempt to draw in foreign investment and promote partnership between regional startups and global technology companies.

Egypt has demonstrated its intention to take the lead in influencing the direction of artificial intelligence and digital transformation by conducting one of the biggest AI-focused conferences in the region. This development is seen as a huge change, making Cairo a hub for AI innovation in the Middle East and Africa.
