Cobi has raised $1 million in pre-seed funding, led by Lunara Partners, with participation from Plug and Play, Annex Investments, and Spring.
Cobi is building an AI-powered platform that brings together behavioural, transactional, product and engagement data to identify changes in customer behaviour and recommend what businesses should do next.
This model gives a broader opportunity in AI beyond consumer-facing chatbots. Tools that help businesses understand customers, improve retention and make faster data-driven decisions could become important as African companies digitise their operations and compete for informed customers.
Cobi says it will use the new capital to expand enterprise deployments across the Middle East and internationally while strengthening its recommendation and decisioning capabilities.
The funding signals the growing investor interest in AI infrastructure that solves practical business problems and creates a potential playbook for African founders building enterprise AI products around fragmented data and underserved business needs.
