East Africa leads the Fundraising Trail in Africa with $45.7 million
According to data from BD Funding Tracker, East Africa led the fundraising trail in July, with startups in the region securing 37.4% of the total funds raised.
In July 2023, African startups jointly raised $123.4 million across 20 disclosed deals, according to BD Funding Tracker. This marks a 46.5% decrease from the amount raised on the continent in July 2022 and a 2.8% decrease from what was raised in June 2023.
