Eco-Friendly Kwezi Safaris Recognized And Awarded In Uk

Kwezi Safaris, a Kenya-based travel and tour operator that embraces eco-friendly lodges and renewable energy, has been recognized by the United Kingdom(UK) for its sustainable operations.

The company was acknowledged for its commitment to sustainable business operations and an active corporate social responsibility practice. Hence it received The Travelife Partner Level Award.

Travelife is a UK-based travel initiative that supports sustainable activities in the travel and tourism industry globally. It also offers training in tourism management, likewise awarding certification.

The initiative provides education with technology (EduTech) for its participants, giving them easy access to its online educational tools, preparing them for timed examinations, and guiding them till they are awarded certification.

According to Kwezi Safaris CEO George Nchau, Kwezi is the first Kenyan tourism outfit to be recognized and awarded for its sustainable activities.

He further explained, “Our goal has always been to run a company that creates unforgettable memories for our customers and yet contributes to the sustainable development of local communities and the protection of the environment,”

According to reports, “The Travelife Partner level standard covers the ISO 26000 Corporate Social Responsibility themes, including environment, biodiversity, human rights, and labor relation”.

While Naut Kuster, GM Tour Operation Tavelife, gave his speech, he noted that there shouldn’t be an adverse change in the sustainability of the tourism sector, especially while facing the challenges of our dispensation,

He congratulated Kwezi Safaris for imbibing Eco friendly and sustainable philosophies in their everyday operations.

Over 35 Kenyan and international travel outfits and associations promoted the certification and award scheme. Some of those association includes the Tanzanian Association Of Tour Operators (TATO), the Pacific Asian Travel Association (PATA), and the Kenyan Association of Tour Operators (KATO), amongst others.
