Egyptian logistics startup, Milezmore raises $5M in pre-seed funding round led by Brimore
Egyptian logistics provider startup, Milezmore has raised $5 million from the social commerce platform, Brimore in a pre-seed funding round.
Milezmore is a cutting-edge, cost-efficient, tech-enabled logistics solutions platform that provides cloud fulfillment, last-mile delivery, and other tailored operations solutions.
Milezmore is the first of its kind in Egypt, providing cloud logistics solutions to businesses. The platform was founded in 2021 by Ahmed El Attar, to resolve challenges in the supply chain infrastructures, that were largely fragmented in the country.
Since its launch, Milezmore has achieved accelerated growth. With a 94% success rate, the platform has 15 delivery hubs across the country and has been able to process over 15 million pieces, and delivered over a million packages. Milezmore is attracting over 25 customers across different markets.
Milezmore’s first launch into the logistics industry was as a platform that managed all of Brimore’s logistics solutions. Brimore, now the largest social commerce platform in Egypt, has experienced exponential growth. It recently raised $25 million in a Series A funding round to expand across Africa.
Milezmore has enabled Brimore to evolve to the dynamic growth requirement through managing all its logistics. It has further expanded to cater to other companies.
CEO and co-founder of Brimore, Mohamed Abdulaziz said, “For decades, Egypt has suffered from a fragmented traditional supply chain structure that no longer works with the rise of new commerce models, especially after being hit by a global pandemic. To address this challenge, we believed that the best solution was to invest in Milezmore to handle all the heavy operations. After all, Brimore’s promise is to create smart infrastructure for the masses, and our investment in Milezmore is a testament to that.”
Milezmore intends to utilize the new capital to acquire a robust technology, and expandable storage area to rapidly grow its cloud solutions. It also intends to double its team and offer a higher delivery capacity to its customer base.
El-Attar, who is also the Managing Director Milezmore said: “We are proud to be the first Egyptian startup to offer all three services and cater to all types of companies. What I witnessed during the past four years is that the traditional supply chain wasn’t built to solve today’s problem, and I believe Milezmore was built for that. In one year, we were able to build a strong and passionate team that drove the company forward and achieved tremendous results. This is only the beginning, and we’re confident that Milezmore will revolutionize the logistics industry in the near future.”
