Flutterwave Hires 200 Graduates For 12 Months Trainee Programme To Tackle Unemployment
One of Africa’s leading financial technology companies, Flutterwave, has recently admitted about Two Hundred (200) Nigerian graduates into its graduate trainee programme, in a bid to tackle unemployment in the nation. It was reported that this development is part of the company’s mission to support the nation’s economic status.
This programme is designed to be a twelve months intensive training to provide the graduates with the needed skills needed to engage the world before them. Through the programme, participants are promised exposure to Flutter’s solutions, products, connections, and work culture. they will be given an environment for self-growth and career development.
The 200 graduates were carefully selected from a pool of about Eleven Thousand (11,000) applicants. The programme, which opened in early July 2022, is meant to support Nigerian graduates.
This is a Landmark development for the fintech company as it is intentional about guiding the nation’s youths and prospective leaders of Nigeria’s tech ecosystem, the choice of participants was not subjective to particular universities in the country.
Giving insight into the event, Futterwave’s Chief of People and Culture officer, Mansi Babyloni, explained that the admission attests to the vision the company stands for. “For any organization, the recruitment strategy, and its success depend on getting the candidates needed. The programme is running as a pilot edition, there is no information on if it will expand to other countries on the continent. The graduates will be offered a monthly stipend as a benefit of the training for the training duration, they will also be exposed to the world of financial technology and receive peculiar work experience.
