Google Cloud has launched Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, an AI platform designed to help banks and financial institutions automate research, risk analysis, and other complex workflows.
The launch comes as banks explore generative AI to reduce manual processes and improve decision-making while maintaining controls around sensitive financial data.
The approach is designed to address concerns over data privacy and regulatory compliance which have remained key barriers to wider AI adoption across the financial sector.
Google Cloud said the platform was built around the security, governance and data-residency requirements of regulated financial institutions.
“Financial professionals are looking for an AI platform that doesn't lock them into any one model or ecosystem, connects to the IT systems they use every day, and is highly secure and compliant," said Thomas Kurian, CEO, Google Cloud.”
With banks under pressure to deploy AI without compromising controls, Gemini Enterprise positions Google Cloud to compete for a growing market of financial institutions seeking enterprise AI tools.
