Gozem, Ride-hailing company collaborates with Etisalat Benin Francophone ride-hailing company, Gozem has collaborated with Etisalat Benin to make it’s “Moov Money” service accessible to its customers.This move by the two companies will allow Gozem customers to use Moov Money to top up their wallets and pay for trips.Gozem offers users ride-hailing services through various transport means. Even though it is dormant in the motorcycle of the region, riders are able to order taxis and tuk-tuks on the platform.The timing of the new wallet option will help in this COVID-19 era where cash transactions serve as carriers for the coronavirus.Country Manager of Gozem Bénin, Pierrick Houée said, “In addition to existing payment options offered in our app, Gozem users can now also benefit from the security and convenience of paying with Moov Money”.The company has a long term plan to build a Super App for the region after Southeast to provide users services aside ride-hailing to enable their service to meet daily basic needs and wants.Gozem co-founder, Emeka Ajene, says regulatory challenges in the francophone region are not hostile and is planning to launch in more countries soon.
