Digital infrastructure provider Hayo has entered Tanzania, opening a Dar es Salaam office to pursue projects with government agencies, regulators, and telecommunications operators as it expands to Africa.
The company provides technology for mobile identity registration, telecom fraud prevention, and network intelligence, including systems that help operators monitor and secure voice and SMS traffic.
The launch comes as it seeks working relationships with local authorities and network operators through a permanent work presence.
The Tanzania operation will give Hayo a local team to support projects from design and deployment through ongoing management, allowing it to work directly with public authorities and telecom operators on their infrastructure requirements.
Its solutions also include Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that enable operators to use network data.
For founders, Hayo’s expansion gives the infrastructure layer of Africa’s digital economy, where opportunities extend beyond consumer-facing applications to cybersecurity, digital identity and enterprise technology.
