Global venture capital firm Headline has closed its eighth European early-stage fund at $400 million, targeting Seed and Series A startups as investor appetite for artificial intelligence increases across the continent.
Headline EU VIII will invest across Europe, focusing on AI companies. The fund adds fresh capital to an ecosystem where European startups are building for global markets from the outset.
Headline has already backed major European technology companies including AI firms Mistral, Black Forest Labs and Bioptimus, alongside fintech and software startups such as Raisin, Attio and Farfetch.
The firm said founders are building with global scale in mind, while its European team has helped portfolio companies expand into the US.
For Black and Brown founders, the new fund adds another significant pool of early-stage capital to Europe’s competitive startup market, although Headline has not said how much of the $400 million will target underrepresented founders.
