Tanzanian fintech startup, Laina Finance is growing its access to consumer credit by providing a flexible payment option that allows consumers and small business to purchase goods and services instalmentally. The platform is targeted at addressing the challenges that arise with limited access to normal credits by emerging markets which provides financial solutions that do not require traditional collateral. 

Before the introduction of this project, Laina Finance has worked with over 450 resellers across Tanzania, including all Vodacom stores, and onboarded more than 19,500 users. In addition to that, the company has also worked with over 30 companies, providing financing solutions that improve the management of cash flows for individuals and small businesses. 

Founded by Tonny Missokia, Laina Finance helps with quick cash loans for individuals ranging from government employees, private sector workers, and mobile network operator users, as well as insurance premium financing that enables clients to extend payments over time. 

With this new growth, customers can select the repayment schedules which suit their income patterns, either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly installments , which makes it easy to manage financial obligations. 

Missokia's goal for Laina Finance is to improve Tanzanians' purchasing power and financial well-being. The company addresses a significant market gap, the shortage of easily available, user-friendly credit systems by utilizing fintech solutions.
