Venture firm LvlUp Ventures has announced its investment in Tosch.ai, an Andover startup that collects and standardizes college sports data, the firm said in a post published Thursday.
Tosch.ai pulls team, athlete, and coaching statistics from about 2,000 U.S. colleges and universities into one platform. It covers schools in the NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, 3C2A and NWAC, with data back to the 2021 season.
The company sells subscriptions to student-athletes and their families, college counselors, coaches, athletic directors, and sports agents. Founder and CEO Shawne Robinson has described the goal as "a Bloomberg for college sports," according to LvlUp.
"College athletics has become one of the most data-intensive and rapidly changing environments in sports," Robinson said in July, when the company added individual athlete and coach statistics.
Why the investor is betting on it
In its post, LvlUp stated that the statistics students and families need to choose a program are scattered across thousands of school websites, conference pages, and databases in different formats.

The firm argued that the stakes of that choice have risen with name, image, and likeness deals, a busier transfer portal, and the House v. NCAA settlement.
In that case, a federal judge in California approved that settlement on June 6, 2025. It allows athletic departments to pay athletes directly, up to $20.5 million a year per school starting in the 2025-26 athletic year, and provides $2.8 billion in back pay to former athletes.
LvlUp also said clean, standardized data is hard to build and becomes more valuable as it covers more sports, seasons, and schools.
The company
Robinson started Tosch.ai with his son, Myles Robinson, after learning that his son had chosen his college soccer program on gut feeling, Axios reported in July. Myles Robinson works part-time as chief product officer.
The company launched in November 2025 with team statistics and added individual athlete and coaching data in July 2026. It currently covers 13 sports, including football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball, softball, ice hockey, and lacrosse.
Tosch.ai charges individual users $49.99 a month or $500 a year, and charges college coaches and other professionals $6,500 a year, Axios reported.
LvlUp described the company as pre-revenue. Tosch.ai has previously relied on angel investors, whom Robinson declined to name, Axios reported.
