Moniepoint Acquires Orda to Power Digital Innovation in Nigeria’s Restaurant Industry
A Nigerian fintech company, Moniepoint is expanding as it acquires a restaurant management startup Orda to boost its innovation in the country’s restaurant industry. This integration will adopt Orda’s cloud-based tools into Moniepoint’s business management platform, Moniebook, creating a full-stack solution for restaurants and food service operators.
With this new purchase, Orda will belong to Moniebook for Restaurants, which is a growth of Moniepoint's current Moniebook business management software. The incorporation is said to be completed in the weeks to come while Orda will function independently till then.
In the words of the Orda CEO, Guy Futi;
“For our customers, we are assuring a smooth transition with no disruption to the platform and retained access to the support you are used to,” he added, “What changes is your access to opportunities.”
The acquisition positions Moniepoint to compete with rivals like Chowdeck, which is also targeting Nigeria’s restaurant stack. However the strategic impact of this project will ensure restaurants have access to integrated tools that simplify daily operations, reduce costs, and improve customer experience.
