Nigerian Mobile payments company, Paga partners with fintech company, Remita.
Mobile payments company Paga has entered a partnership with Nigeria’s financial technology brand, Remita to allow payments across both companies and to make Federal Government bill payments available to all customers.
The first phase of the collaboration would allow Paga customers to easily make payments to all Remita billers and merchants right from Paga’s web channel, ‘paga.com’, or agent network.
This means that Paga’s agents across the country would be able to process end-to-end payments to all Remita customers from Paga’s platform.
The partnership aims at strengthening the fintech ecosystem at the same time making electronic payments more attractive and less stressful for customers.
Speaking on the matter, Co-founder and Director of Business Development at Paga Jay Alabraba said, “In our commitment to make payments easier for all Nigerians and businesses, we are pleased to collaborate with SystemSpecs. The impact of the partnership is that individuals can easily generate Remita’s Retrieval Reference (RRR), make payments into the Federal Government’s Treasury Single Account, as well as payment to State Governments, Tertiary institutions on Remita and Organisations on Paga’s consumer and agent channels.
