Nigeria's Tech Mobility Startup, DriveMe Raises Undisclosed Fund to Expand Across Nigeria

DriveMe, a Nigeria-based technology-enabled mobility startup that provides access to verified and professional drivers; through a one-stop platform aggregating product and service providers within the mobility space across Africa has today announced that It has raised an undisclosed amount in pre-seed funding round for product development and expansion across Nigeria.

DriveMe has announced the debut of a redesigned one-stop business platform, which is designed to give goods and carrier vendors in the logistics and mobility market centralized access. DriveMe for Business, DriveMe for Individuals, DriveMe for Drivers, and Driver Education are the four main products available on the new platform.

The DriveMe platform provides individuals and businesses with access to a variety of services, including hiring full-time drivers, booking on-demand drivers, driver payroll management, driver information management, and verification, learner and professional driver training, and more; while also providing drivers with benefits such as riding job opportunities, fitness & accident insurance, non-stop driver commuting, and more.

The startup also provides driver training, outsourcing, and other fleet management services to corporate organizations and individuals, prides itself on quality customer service for its clients and best in class welfare for its drivers

Niche Capital, FM Capital, and a few local angel investors invested in the pre-seed round of the startup that was founded by Charlotte Odunlade-Akeju and Damilola Odunlade-Akeju in 2019.

Apart from being licensed by the Federal Road Safety Commission of Nigeria and collaborating with the Lagos State Driving Institute, it now has access to a pool of over 3,000 drivers, has trained over 250 amateur and 700+ professional drivers, completed over 700k driver journeys, and paired over 1,000 drivers with groups and individuals. The business, which has offices in Lagos and Abuja, is at the vanguard of driver administration and education.

Shuttlers, Mecho AutoTech, Octamile, and ImaliPay have all signed collaboration agreements with DriveMe to provide their clients with seamless access to mobility products and services.
