Nigeria's Ticketing Platform, Tix Africa, Launches Box Office
Tix Africa, a Nigerian startup that offers the service of self-ticketing through its platform majorly for event creators, has officially launched its Box Office. This is a tool that does not require prior coding skills, allowing event creators to build a website and an online presence for all their events.
Tix Africa was co-founded by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Folayemi Agusto and Nosa Oyegun, Head, Retail Products & Partnershipshttps in 2019, then named festival coins. Via Tix Africa, event organizers can use the technology-enabled event platform to curate defined information from guests, which results in reduced cost and maximized revenue at the same time.
The mobile app is equipped with tools and services that organizers of events can make use of when putting an event together. some of the features include access control. online ticketing, event reporting and cashless payments.
As evidence of success in its mission so far, the startup was able to raise a round of pre-seed funding last year. Although the amount was undisclosed, it was learnt that the amount was at least six figures.
While addressing the Box Office, the startup noted that “Before the Box Office, you could only list one event on a page with Tix. Now, with a Tix Pro subscription, you can add multiple events to your box office and sell products too.”
