Pan-African Edtech startup eLearnAfrica Develops Platform to Deliver Free Courses to University Students
Pan-African Edtech startup eLearnAfrica has partnered with the Association of African Universities (AAU) to design, build and deploy learning management systems across the continent, giving university students access to free online courses.
eLearnAfrica was launched in 2016, with the aim of providing African universities with inexpensive tools to incorporate eLearning solutions quickly and efficiently for blended and fully online academic programs.
eLearnAfrica leverages its online marketplace to simplify the process of finding and enrolling for online courses, degrees and professional certifications from universities across the world.
The startup’s platform allow users design visual interface for intuitive design, plan from degrees down to class segments and preview from the student’s perspective.
The objective of the partnership is to support the efforts of universities in Africa and provide industry-standard and innovative functions in low-data ecosystems through the provision of free e-learning tools to make online education accessible, while generating income for universities, institutions, and schools.
