Qatar’s ShipBee Raises $500K to Scale Digital Logistics Across GCC
A technology logistics startup, ShipBee has raised a sum of $500,000 in seed funding to accelerate the growth of its digital logistics platform. Held in Doha, Qatar, this round of funding was led by a venture capitalist firm, GrowthX Capital known for supporting innovative startups in the region.
ShipBee is a developing digital logistics marketplace driven by artificial intelligence that links companies and customers with shipping alongside delivery providers through a single platform. Through the use of the platform, consumers are allowed to book shipments, evaluate logistics decisions, and follow deliveries in real time.
According to the co-founder of ShipBee, Tamer Raafat, speaking on this round noted that;
ShipBee’s mission is to “redefine logistics in the GCC and beyond” by delivering scalable solutions that empower businesses to grow without restriction from outdated delivery systems.
Prior to this funding, ShipBee had secured a $235k pre-seed round and established funding with other logistics companies like DHL, Qatar Post, and Snoonu, while also collaborating with local retailers and service providers. These partnerships and funding have helped the company grow its logistics network.
This additional fund will now be utilized to advance ShipBee's technological stack, ensure its workforce is expanding and adopt advanced artificial intelligence methods to enhance platform performance. Consumers will enjoy real-time tracking, most effective routing planning, and forecasting tools in overcoming inefficiencies in the logistics industry.
ShipBee's growth is expected to have a major impact on the digital economy of the area as Qatar positions itself as a center for innovation. Looking forward, the platform aims at exploring other regional markets like the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.
