Rensource introduces a digital platform for SME.

Nigeria’s leading Energy and merchant infrastructure company, Rensource has introduced a novel digital platform that allows small businesses to connect to customers online during this lockdown period.

Rensource’s new platform, Merchlist.co  was designed to serve two main purposes.

The first is to allow customers to buy directly from  Small and Medium-sized Enterprises(SME’s)  and the other is to aggregates services, contact details, and delivery methods, to ensure that end users can see service availability in real-time.

Chief Operating Officer, Anu Adasolum said: “Energy has always been the firm’s core business but in light of the pandemic, Rensource is looking to tap into the opportunity of helping small businesses survive by gaining access to consumers online”.

“At Rensource we’re focused on connecting people to the most important things. The launch of Merchlist will ensure that small businesses stay in business and every day can continue to access essential goods. Merchlist aims to connect as many small businesses as possible to the millions of internet users in Nigeria– simply, easily and quickly” she added.

At the moment, the platform is accepting a limited number of orders daily since it is in the trial phase.

Partner SMEs on Merchlist.co consists of Grocery Bazaar, Grand Square, Rx Pharmacy, Food Jaar, and The Meat Shop.

However, the company is working to roll out the platform in more markets across Nigeria, enabling SMEs and merchants to go digital to access end-users.

Adasolum further disclosed that Rensource has launched a fund to assist merchant families in these hard times of the COVID-19 pandemic. He then urged well to do Nigerians to contribute to the donations. People who want to donate can visit donations.merchlist.co.

The donations will provide essentials, food, and medical supplies through partner NGOs, Foundation for the Support of the Less Privileged, Lagos food bank, and Dream for the Slum.

Rensource started in 2016, providing energy-based micro utilities for SME’s, project engineering solutions and services for merchants from the traditional market to the online platform.
