Sage Unveils AI Platform to Automate Admin and Empower Africa’s Small Businesses
Sage is introducing its new AI platform across Africa and Middle East as a move to ease its administrative burden on small businesses by automating routine tasks in accounting, HR, payroll, and compliance. This launch was announced in Johannesburg designed to help small business enterprises to save time, reduce costs, and unlock growth opportunities.
Sage's AI platform is a major milestone toward modernizing SME operations beyond Africa. It is solidifying itself as a reliable partner for small businesses, enabling them to accelerate advancement in an area where SMEs are the backbone of the economy, by integrating AI into everyday business operations.
According to Jordaan Burger, managing director for Sage Africa and the Middle East, mentioned that;
“Sage Ai is built on five core commitments: user control, reliable results, transparent explanations, responsible and ethical implementation, and accessible human support. We call this ‘Authentic Intelligence’ because it represents a more thoughtful approach to innovation, one that puts people at the centre, embeds trust by design, and applies advanced technology in ways that solve real business challenges rather than simply introducing new complexity.”
The announcement occurs at a time when growing operating expenses, the need to comply with regulations, and a lack of skilled workers are putting growing pressure on African small enterprises. Business owners' time is often consumed by administrative responsibilities like processing payroll, tax reporting, and financial documentation, which hinders them from focusing on business and innovation.
