Salus Cloud Raises $3.7M Seed Round to Expand AI-Powered DevOps Platform in Africa

Salus Cloud, an AI-native DevOps startup founded in 2024 by Andrew Mori, has raised $3.7 million in seed funding to scale its platform across Africa, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
“We built Salus so a fintech can focus on loans, an e-commerce company on logistics, not on securing Kubernetes or building core banking from scratch,” said co-founder and CEO Mori.
The startup is addressing a major infrastructure gap in emerging markets, which is the lack of secure, automated, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. While globally fewer than one-third of enterprises have implemented secure CI/CD systems, the situation is more pronounced in Africa, where many startups and small businesses often operate without any such setups.
Salus Cloud’s platform offers AI-powered developer agents, automated security fixes, and enterprise-grade DevOps tools tailored for lean teams. Its pricing model is designed to fit the budgets of growth-stage companies in underserved ecosystems.
With the new funding, Salus plans to enhance product development, improve onboarding for both individual and enterprise users, and strengthen partnerships with developer communities and tech hubs. The company aims to support startups across Africa and MENA by making robust DevOps infrastructure more accessible.
As more startups across the continent scale their digital operations, Salus Cloud’s offering comes at a time when reliable and secure DevOps tools are becoming essential for long-term growth and competitiveness in the African tech landscape.
The round was led by Atlantica Ventures and P1 Ventures, with participation from Idris Bello of LoftyInc Capital and angel investor Timothy Chen of Essence VC.
