Saudi Edtech Startup GAGA Secures $2.5M to Scale Live Learning and Arabic Content Across the Kingdom
A Saudi Arabia edtech startup, GAGA has partook in a pre-Series A round led to raise $2.5million. This round was led by Phoenix Venture Partners in association with other individual investors and family offices. The funding is gathered to enhance the live learning model of the platform, strengthen its teacher network and also scaling Arabic-language learning across Saudi.
GAGA is a platform created to close the gaps that exist with traditional online education, while delivering a live learning experience that connects students and teachers in real time. It also ensures integrating interactive engagement technological tools with aspects of virtual classrooms.
The platform places more emphasis on community-driven learning, active participation, and feedback than pre-recorded courses, which the founders claim generates higher-quality outcomes. With this strategic funding, funds will be used to recruit and train more educators, in order to ensure a better live learning model.
Additionally, the business wants to make use of the money to develop its platform's basic functions, such as better video infrastructure, suggestions driven by AI, and content that is specifically geared to Arabic-speaking customers. It also seeks to target both academic and professional learning sectors by expanding out into new topic areas beyond what it now offers.
