ShapShap Nigeria Wins SuperNova Prize of $8000 At GITEX Global 2022
Nigerian digital marketplace and logistics startup, ShapShap, has been announced as the winner at the 2022 GITEX Global, winning Eight thousand US dollars ($8,000) as the cash prize for the Supernova, a contest for Mobility and Smart Innovator.
ShapShap was launched by Khalil Halilu in 2019 as an on-delivery startup. With the use of mobile technologies, same-day delivery service can be formalized
According to the startup’s record, more than Forty thousand (40,000) deliveries have been completed. Via ShapShap’s distinctive approach to last-mile delivery blended with its founder’s notable experience in the industry, an investment opportunity has been created for the startup.
This is not the first time ShapShap has been in the news for funding, recently, in April 2022 to be precise, a seed expansion investment was made into the startup by V8 Capital Partners, to expand ShapShap abilities to venture into new markets.
Of recent, Africa has experienced noticeable growth in Last-mile delivery. Startups like Kwik, GoKada, including Shapshap have been able to raise a significant amount of funding to expand their services and launch into new markets.
