South Africa's GovChat to partner with the country's Social Security Agency to digitize relief campaign.
South African civic engagement technology platform, GovChat is planning to partner with the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) to digitize the application process of the COVID-19 social relief grant.
The partnership will give the advantage to the unemployed in the country to have access to the platform for them to be able to apply.
Those interested can also access the program on their mobile phone devices from the comfort of their homes.
The platform which can be accessed through mobile Facebook, messenger, SMS, WhatsApp, among others is to give applicants a secure process of application.
The platform will also be automated with the help of the GovChat tools of intelligence. With this, there will be an increment in productivity and quicker application as well.
Commenting on the development, the founder and CEO of GovChat, Eldrid Jordaan stated that, their primary aim is to use an efficient digital interface to facilitate Government citizens.
“Our core purpose is to facilitate Government Citizen Engagement through efficient and user-friendly digital interfaces,” Jordaan said.
Also, he added that their step is an indication of how the company (GovChat) aims at streamlining processes to enhance communication between the Government of South Africa and the citizens.
“The partnership with SASSA is an example of how we are working with the South African Government to automate and streamline processes, on a secure and compliant digital platform to empower South Africans to easily interact with Government”, he added.
