Despite rising usage, cryptocurrencies have long faced legitimacy issues in Africa. However, a Blockchain analytics company, Chainalysis, claims that the use of cryptocurrencies is expanding faster on the continent than everywhere else, with transaction volumes rising 1,200 percent between July 2020 and 2021. The responses of African countries have
