UAE-based payments provider Telr has partnered with fintech company CreditPool to launch a multi-card payment service that lets online shoppers pay for a single purchase with multiple bank cards.
The service, called Telr Multi-Card Payments, enables customers to combine payments across cards when one card’s available balance or spending limit cannot cover the full transaction.
The companies said the service is designed to address payment declines and abandoned shopping carts, two challenges for online merchants seeking to complete customer transactions.
The partnership also allows shoppers to combine rewards from different cards when making purchases, according to the announcement.
The companies have not disclosed a financial value for the partnership.
For Black and Brown founders operating across the Middle East and North Africa, the launch adds another payment option to the region’s online commerce infrastructure. Its value will depend on merchant adoption and the markets where the service becomes available.
