Tunga Uganda Sponsors 40 Youth Football Coaches to 5-Day Training With Experts

As part of its social development activities and constant effort to provide avenues to aid African talents, Tunga Uganda, a staff augmentation company for software developers, has revealed that it recently supported about 4o Uganda coaches, through sponsored training. The training which was taught by an expert dutch coach, Kevin Kanu, was all paid for and it lasted a duration of 5-days

Reports have it that the training which was held at the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) Technical centre, Njeru,  commenced on the 28th of September, while it rounded off on the 2nd of October 2022. It was said to be inspirational, exciting and educational for the participants.

FUFA’s personnel also expressed satisfaction with the program, as it accommodated youth couches from various parts of the country, likewise encouraging the youths to continue developing their talents.

Tunga, understanding the importance of youth in the growth and development of its market, uses this medium to remain relatable and relevant to the youth in Uganda. Through football one of the most loved sports across Africa, the tech company is reaching out to its most active users which is the youth.

While making a statement on the collaboration between Tunga and FUFA, Ernesto Spruyt, Tunga’s CEO, said “I am a firm believer that the success of any society depends on how it treats and educates its children. Sport is an essential vehicle for children to get ahead in life. Next to physical well-being, sports teach them performance, teamwork, discipline, devotion, and (importantly) joy! I figured that we as a company could make a humble contribution by applying our knowledge in developing IT talent to football youth development in Uganda. We reached out to the FUFA, and the rest they say is history.”

Expressing appreciation for the success of the training, he further added “I feel lucky that I have the opportunity to do this… It makes me satisfied and thankful that I am in a position to impact people’s lives, I want to thank FUFA for making this possible and Kevin for joining us on this journey.”
