Visa Appoints New Head Of West Africa Region.
Visa, a digital payment platform and card payment network, has appointed a new Head for its West Africa region. The appointed, Andrew Uaboi is going to be in charge of the development and execution of the company’s growth strategy in West Africa, he will also lead the company’s teams in some parts of Sub-Saharan Africa.
This appointment aligns with the company’s vision to develop a substantial regional team by collating unique potential talents with imperative business opportunities.
Addressing the appointment, Aida Diarra, Head of Sub-Saharan Africa and Visa’s Senior Vice President stated, “Andrew’s appointment reflects the importance we place on the West Africa markets and in supporting our clients and partners. The depth of experience that he brings will enable him to make immediate contributions to our strategy and growth within the region and Sub-Saharan Africa.”
He further said, “We look forward to Andrew’s leadership in building on our continued efforts to help accelerate digitizing commerce in West Africa”.
Before the appointment, Andrew filled the position of Country Manager for Visa Nigeria, and recently he was the interim head of the west Africa cluster.
While he occupied the previous positions he compelled the consistent growth of the company with significant achievements. Andrew has about Eighteen years of experience in different corporations including banking and telecommunications and is strategically placed to rev the current growth velocity of the West Africa trade at Visa.
