Zeew, an Egyptian B2B SaaS Platform, Secures $630K Seed Funding to Scale
Zeew, Egypt’s B2B SaaS startup, has secured $630,000 in seed funding from Plug and Play Ventures, Poland Prize, and a group of angel investors to expand its team and serve more customers globally. This is the startup’s first funding after securing $170,000 in 2021. Its total funding in the last two years now stands at $1 million,
The startup helps businesses of all sizes launch their on-demand delivery businesses, allowing them to track and control their operations through its customizable, hyperlocal SaaS solution. It currently serves clients in over 100 countries across multiple verticals, including food and beverage, pharmacy, and last-mile delivery.
Mohamed Ghaith founded Zeew in November 2017 as a B2B on-demand last-mile delivery company for small businesses, focusing on flower shops, cosmetic shops, and bookstores. It is one of the leading startups providing on-demand delivery technology built on the Ethereum blockchain. By March 2018, the startup had attracted over 2,000 investors to its platform.
According to the CEO, the startup’s automated platform has created a full ecosystem for businesses, such that the business eCommerce store can be created and connected to its native client ordering apps, vendor apps, driver apps, dispatcher, accounting system, and more in a few clicks.
“We had built a great technology out of our needs and we decided to offer it to the public as a one-time payment at the beginning but soon we realized how difficult it was to maintain many clients on the separate codebase and we moved to SaaS and since then we have grown to 100+ countries,” Ghaith said.
Zeew provides its customers with a platform that allows them to manage their entire business from a single admin dashboard. The startup also has a reseller program, which allows any entrepreneur to start their own business by reselling the startup’s automated systems under their domain and brand, with the ability to set their reseller prices.
