Egyptian FoodTech Brotinni Secures Seed Funding Of $600,000

Brotinni, an Egypt-based Foodtech establishment has revealed its success in securing $600,000 in its recent Seed fundraising. The investment is meant to properly tech-enable the business, the raise was led by Innlife investment.

Brotinni was launched in 2020 and founded by Dalia Abou Omar. The foodtech provides a platform that allows users to place an order for their poultry feeds and freshly butchered meat the orders are delivered on the same day. The startup has also partnered with farmers who it also buys from directly.

The startup launched the first “dark butcher” in Cairo, while it recently inaugurated a fulfilment warehouse which is also it’s first. These perviouse establishments will be setting the pace for the “dark store.”

The foodtech currently has full operation in Cairo, Egypt, with this investment, it plans to launch more dark butchers in the nation to fulfil more consumer satisfaction in various parts of the country. Although  Brotinni has its products also available on other online grocery platforms. Meanwhile, there are steps in place to make its website and mobile application live before the end of November

While giving more details about the company’s mission and how it intends to utilize the raise, Abou Omar said “enhancing the startup’s technology with regards to the vacuum seal bags it uses … and increasing the size of its fleet to ensure fast shipping and same-day delivery,”
