Guichet.com, Morocco's Leading E-Ticketing Startup, Records Over 1M Sells, Expands to Senegal
Guichet.com, Morocco’s digital ticketing market leader, has announced its first international expansion outside of Morocco. The Moroccan pioneering ticketing startup announced the formal launch of its Senegal subsidiary.
The new branch, headquartered in Dakar, Senegal, is the result of a strategic alliance between Guichet.com and a leading Senegalese operator. The Moroccan ticketing platform aims to support the growth of the arts and entertainment industry while also encouraging knowledge exchange between Morocco and Senegal, two neighboring countries with strong ties.
Announcing the expansion, Ahmed Tawfik Moulnakhla, the founder and CEO of Guichet.com said, “I am moved and delighted to announce the launch of Guichet in Senegal today in Dakar, in close partnership with a Senegalese partner of choice, whom I would like to thank for his dedication. Guichet is making its international debut. This delight is heightened by the fact that Morocco and Senegal are two fraternal countries whose excellent ties exemplify an ambitious and inspiring paradigm of South-South cooperation to which I am profoundly connected and convinced. By establishing in Dakar, Guichet hopes to contribute to the amazing energy of Senegal’s culture and entertainment business by making smart ticketing solutions created in Morocco available to the public and actors.”
This follows the startup’s plan to pursue international expansion opportunities by leveraging the $309,000 equity funding it received from the 212 Founders program via CDG Invest in March.
In addition, the ticketing platform has announced in a press release that it has surpassed the million-ticket-sold-online mark. Guichet.com’s contribution to the reform and development of this dynamic market is highlighted by this historic achievement in Moroccan entertainment history.
“The Moroccan public is rapidly trusting the Moroccan digital ticketing platform to buy tickets online in one click on the website or mobile application,” according to the statement.
