Cameroonian technology company Looping Binary has launched LBPay, a digital payment ecosystem aimed at businesses and consumers in the country.
The platform is designed to support digital transactions as Cameroon’s businesses adopt online payments and other digital financial services.
The launch expands Looping Binary’s operations into fintech, adding payments to the company’s existing technology services. It also comes as African technology companies build local payment infrastructure to serve businesses that face gaps in access to financial services.
LBPay’s rollout gives Looping Binary a foothold in Cameroon’s payments market, with potential to expand its services as demand for digital financial tools grows.
For small businesses and Black-owned startups, locally developed payment platforms could make it easier to collect digital payments and build online businesses without depending solely on international providers.
