Mersal Partners with Chefaa to Supply its Patients’ Pharmaceutical Needs
Mersal, an Egypt-based health charity that provides high-quality medical care to both Egyptian and non-Egyptian patients, has announced a strategic partnership with Chefaa, Egypt’s GPS-enabled pharmacy benefits platform that connects patients and pharmacies across the north African country, allowing chronic patients to schedule, order, and refill their recurring prescriptions as well as other non-pharmaceutical products from pharmacies, via its web or mobile apps.
Commenting on the partnership, Heba Rashed, Chairman of Trustees of Mersal Foundation, said “This type of partnership with private entities is the foundation for facilitating bringing our services to patients who can’t provide for themselves. Our agreement with Chefaa to provide us with needed supplies at discounted prices and different facilitated payment methods, especially in services related to children’s milk and diapers, help our foundation provide its services faster and to a large number of people in need which will decrease our waiting list.”
“Our partnership with Chefaa will increase social awareness about Corporate Social Responsibility and that this partnership marks the beginning of more similar partnerships for the Foundation,” Heba added.
Chefaa will be able to support providing pharmacy needs within its massive network and partners to the patients at Mersal with a special focus on the needs of the children incubators in the coming years as a result of this partnership with Mersal.
Doaa Aref, CEO and Founder of Chefaa, stated “Our partnership with Mersal Foundation is a critical step for Chefaa because it aligns with our vision of providing our services to all Egyptian patients in various sectors.” One of our core values is to expand our role in assisting our community. Our vision is to always form partnerships that will enable us to sustain and expand our social impact. That is why we value our collaboration with the Mersal Foundation so much.”
