Cameroonian Startup, Mungenow Launches a Verified Guest House-Booking Platform
Mungenow Technologies, a Cameroonian-based startup, has launched a guest house-booking platform with listings across the Cameroonian cities of Buea, Limbe, Douala, Yaounde, and Kribi, to connect travelers across Cameroon’s major cities and eventually the rest of Africa to find verified, affordable and reliable accommodation during their trip, as well as providing them with different payment options.
Commenting on the newly rolled out platform, George Enow, the Co-Founder and CTO of Mungenow Stays explained “Our goal at Mungenow Stays is to provide a home away from home experience for travelers who want this experience no matter what their budget is. More than just listing different stay options on the platform, we provide actual value to our customers by doing the difficult leg work of physically verifying each guest house that is listed on our platform to ensure the physical existence, confirm their actual location and the availability of the full range of amenities on offer before listing on our platform.”
Enow says that the platform was created to cater to everyone just looking for an affordable and reliable guest house/holiday home to stay at during their trip to the major cities of Cameroon. The platform equally targets the Cameroonian diaspora who visit Cameroon from time to time and always want a nice and quality place to stay where they can receive visitors, enjoy home-cooked meals, and have access to internet facilities, etc during their stay.
According to the founder, one very important feature that the guest house booking platform offers is the variety of payment options on the website, including but not limited to visa/master card, mobile money wallets, and even bank transfers in some markets making it easier for potential guests to book and pay in advance and be sure of their confirmed reservations before showing up at the location.
