UAE-based payments company NEOPAY has agreed to acquire a 65% controlling stake in Noon payments, expanding its footprint across key Middle East and North African markets.
The deal will combine NEOPAY’s merchant acquiring, payment processing, and omnichannel acceptance infrastructure with Noon payments’ embedded payments platform, e-commerce gateway, and merchant network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.
The acquisition is subject to regulatory and antitrust approvals before completion.
NEOPAY said the transaction will strengthen its position in the UAE while providing access to additional merchants and payment flows in Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
The combined business will also target faster merchant onboarding, improved payment performance, fraud capabilities and embedded financial services.
For black and brown businesses operating across MENA, the deal could broaden access to payment infrastructure across multiple markets and commerce channels, making it easier for merchants to process transactions, onboard customers, and manage payments as digital commerce continues to expand.
