South African Water Crypto Startup, H2O Securities Secures $150M Investment

H20 Securities, the world’s first water cryptocurrency, has announced it raised $150 million through the sale of its tokens. The purchase came in form of an investment from GEM Digital, a $3.4 billion assets investment firm based in the Bahamas. The startup also mentioned it got listed on the BitMart platform. They intend to add a lot more exchanges in the upcoming months, this one being the first.

The H2O Water Network grants the buyers of the H2ON token access to the network and one or more units of water. The $H2ON Token can be staked for a period of time ranging from 30 to 730 days at a time and is eligible for unlimited trading on any DEX or CEX where it is listed.

Additionally, the token has been made available for trading on the ApeSwap DeFi platform. This will allow the $H2ON token become available for trading (buying and selling).

Julius Steyn, Founder and CEO, H20 Securities speaking on the development said that H2O’s tech combination can be used to produce more water infrastructure, faster and more effectively.

“We believe that through H2O Securities’s H2O Water Network, that combines the strengths of traditional and decentralized finance, as well as the linking of real-world water producing assets with Blockchain markets, we can produce more water infrastructure faster and more cost effectively, thereby contributing to a more sustainable future,” Steyn said.

About H2O’s Water Crypto Startup Token

The first of its type in the world, the $H2ON Water Utility Cryptographic Token enables a quicker deployment of water infrastructure and solutions. The token’s goal is to support the funding of water projects all around the world.

The H2O Water Network and the world’s first utility cryptographic token for water, which goes by the sign $H2ON, were both developed by H2O Securities. The development of this token aims to aid in the funding of international water projects.

H2ON will employ the Internet of Things (IoT) to connect water generation facilities in the real world to the Blockchain. These facilities will be run by immutable smart contracts.
