#StartupSouth To Hold 7th Edition In Port Harcourt

The annual startup event, #StartupSouth, will take place on the  10th and 11th of November, 2022, at the Novotel Hotels ​in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. This will be the event’s seventh edition. This year’s program focuses on ways to unite the regions’ status within the international space.

“Remotely Global:​ ​Advancing Subnational Economies from Talents to Corporations” is the theme of this year’s edition as it aims to discover paths and methods that will propel an evolution in the economies of the region while creating avenues to upskill talents in the tech sector where the complexity of new technologies could still be a challenge.

A few important guests are expected to show up at the event, some of which include:

  • Tomi Davies, President of the African Business Angel Network
  • Dr Chimezie Amadi, Commissioner for Digital Economy and E-Governance in Imo State, Iroghama Ogbeifun, CEO Starzs Investments Company Ltd

The event’s sessions will discuss, agriculture, education, entrepreneurship, health, human capital, regional development, technology, policy and more.

Some of the activities of the events include an Award Gala and a Networking Hangout Party, these activities will give opportunities for networking while early-stage startup founders can get access to discuss with investors, an avenue that pushes for growth within the ecosystem.

Given that we are in an election season, frontline gubernatorial aspirants from Rivers and Enugu states will be discussing their digital economy agenda at the conference.”

#StartupSouth was first introduced in 2015, currently it sighted as one of the biggest Digital economy and Startup conferences in the South South region in Nigeria.
