EdTech, Classera, Raises $40 Million Series A Round
E-learning platform, Classera, has raised a Series A round of Forty Million US dollars, ($40 million). this is considered one of the major raises in the EdTech niche.
PIF’s Sanabil Investments led the round, while Global Ventures, Seedra Ventures, Endeavor Catalyst, Sukna Venture, and 500 Global participated in the investment.
Classera has been known to target emerging markets and provide education to learners with ease and associability anywhere.
The edtech company intends to maximize the fund raised by developing more Learning Super Platforms (LSP), which should see more user reliability and accessibility. It also wants to launch into e-training via the LeadXera platform.
Co-founded by Mohammad Almadani and Mohammad Alashmawi, Classera was launched in 2011, to provide an educational platform through technology while making learning easy via Artificial intelligence, gamified learning management platform and social learning. E-payment methods and a marketplace for edtech accessories were also integrated into the platform.
With more development to come with the edtech company, Classera is nurturing plans to expand and scale its presence. T reveals that it wants to put more effort into its growth in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA) where it is more active and also launches to other parts of the African continent, this could also lead to global expansion.
