One of the biggest tech events, competitions and conferences in the world, LEAP, has scheduled its next edition for one of its major competitions for the 6th -9th of February 2023. This year’s competition is open to Suadi-based startups and those promoting cloud-based technologies. Taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the competition will be giving out SR6 million the equivalent of $1.5 million as a reward to startups that stand out.
This year’s competition is tagged “Rocket Fuel LEAP’s Start-up Pitch Competition”. Aside from the competition, the event will be hosting more than 500 professional speakers from across 11 tech conferences. The speakers are designated to deliver insightful content on main topics such as Clean-tech, Edtech, Fintech, 4IR, Smart Cities and many more.
According to the information provided, the competitions will see pitch ideas from more than 50 startups. “We are on the hunt for 90 startups to pitch their business ideas live at LEAP in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from 6-9 February 2023. This is your opportunity to win a share of a lucrative prize pool!”
LEAP Competiton Details
The 3 days event will have 6 semi-finals, where the 15 best pitches will be selected to enter the Grand Finale stage. On the last day of the event, 5 startups will tag winners from different categories, while the 6th startup will be tagged the “Victor’ of the competition. The overall best startup will possess the LEAP Award for the overall best.
Pitches will be held in the presence of 12 expert judges, angel investors, tech experts and notable government and organizational stakeholders within and outside Saudi Arabia.
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, UAE-based IT services and consulting firm Tahaluf, and the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones are the organizers of the event.
LEAP’s 2022 winner, Maqsam, is one of MENA’s leading Cloud Communication startups.
