Telegram Latest Update Allows Infinite Reactions to Premium Users and Improvements to Ios and Android Apps
Telegram, an instant messaging service, just released a significant upgrade that added numerous new features, such as endless reactions, new username links, emoji statuses, and easier logins. First and foremost, all Telegram users now have access to dozens of new reactions that were previously only available to those who have paid for the platform’s Premium subscription. Telegram is a freeware, cross-platform, cloud-based instant messaging (IM) service with over 500 million monthly active users and over 1 billion downloads globally as of late August 2021.
Telegram provides optional end-to-end encrypted chats. Cloud chats and groups are encrypted between the app and the server, so that ISPs and other third parties on the network can’t access data, but the Telegram server can. Users can send text and voice messages, make voice and video calls, and share an unlimited number of images, documents (2 GB per file), user locations, animated stickers, contacts, and audio files. Users can also follow channels, which have been used by celebrities.
According to Telegram, the reaction panel has been rebuilt to be expandable to accommodate all the new emoji reactions. Emoji reactions can be created by premium users, effectively extending their options to infinity.
Both individual and group conversations will support the reactions, which admins can enable or disable. Also, premium users will now have the option to choose whether an animated emoji will appear next to their name. It will replace the Premium Badge in the user’s profile, groups, and chat list.
Telegram stated that users could set one of seven default statuses that alter their color to match various Telegram designs.
“You can set one of seven standard statuses that change their colour to match different Telegram themes – or choose from an infinite number of custom emoji. Popular suggestions for working, sleeping, travelling and more will be shown at the top,” Telegram explained.
Now, users who wish to frequently log in and out of the app can receive login codes by email, sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google. Thanks to a redesigned interface and animations that were previously exclusive to Android, the sign-up and login procedure will be easier for iOS users.
The update also includes the following new features:
- For individuals who want to emphasize their user name or have trouble finding the “/” key, username.t.me offers a new, distinctive link format for user names, groups, and channels
- On Android, change the priority of the downloads
- Smooth media opening, shutting, and media change animations on Android
- Android 13 supports the theme-matched app icon
